1. Installation Warranty

Coverage:

  • WC Floors guarantees the workmanship of all flooring installations for a period of 1 year from the completion date.
  • This warranty ensures that your flooring will be installed in accordance with industry standards and manufacturer guidelines.

What’s Covered:

  1. Defective Workmanship:
    • Issues such as uneven flooring, loose boards, buckling, or improper alignment caused by our installation process.
  2. Subfloor Preparation:
    • Problems related to inadequate subfloor preparation performed by our team, such as uneven surfaces or poor adhesion.
  3. Transition Areas:
    • Defects in transitions, such as poorly fitted moldings or gaps between flooring sections.

Manufacturer’s Warranty

  • Product Warranty: All floor covering products are covered by a manufacturer’s warranty, in accordance with the warranty statement provided to buyer. No other warranties, either expressed or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, are provided. Any warranty offered by the Manufacturer is direct from the Manufacturer and not Wc Floors.
  • Please see manufacturers’ separate warranties for the terms of their warranties.

Exclusions:

  • Damage caused by misuse, accidents, or neglect (e.g., water damage, improper cleaning products).
  • Installation issues resulting from pre-existing conditions (e.g., moisture in subfloor) that were disclosed to the customer prior to installation.
  • Problems arising from modifications or repairs performed by others.

Claim Process:

  • Customers should report any installation issues within the warranty period.
  • WC Floors will assess the problem and, if covered under the warranty, will repair or replace the affected areas at no additional cost.

2. Refinishing Warranty

Coverage:

  • WC Floors provides a 1 year warranty for all hardwood floor refinishing services, ensuring the quality of the finish applied and the durability of our work.

What’s Covered:

  1. Finish Durability:
    • Peeling, cracking, or flaking of the finish under normal residential or commercial use.
  2. Sanding and Staining:
    • Visible sanding marks or uneven staining resulting from improper preparation or application.
  3. Coating Application:
    • Inconsistent finish application, such as blotchy or uneven sheen levels.

Exclusions:

  • Normal wear and tear, including scratches, dents, or dulling from foot traffic or furniture movement.
  • Damage caused by water, harsh cleaning chemicals, or improper maintenance.
  • Variations in wood grain or color that are inherent to the material and not related to workmanship.
  • Issues caused by excessive humidity, temperature fluctuations, or lack of proper care.

Claim Process:

  • Customers must report any concerns about refinishing within the warranty period.
  • WC Floors will inspect the issue and, if found to be a result of our workmanship, will correct the problem through re-application or touch-ups.

3. Warranty Limitations and Conditions

  • Proper Maintenance:
    Customers must adhere to the maintenance guidelines provided by WC Floors and the flooring manufacturer to maintain the warranty.
  • Immediate Reporting:
    Any issues must be reported as soon as they are discovered. Delays in reporting may void the warranty.
  • Environmental Conditions:
    The warranty does not cover damage caused by environmental factors such as flooding, humidity, or direct sunlight.
  • Third-Party Interference:
    Modifications, repairs, or refinishing performed by parties other than WC Floors will void the warranty.

4. How to File a Warranty Claim

  1. Document the Issue:
    Take clear photos or videos of the problem and provide a detailed description.
  2. Contact Us:
    Reach out to WC Floors at warranty@wcfloors.com to file your claim. Include all relevant documentation, such as the original invoice and photos.
  3. Inspection and Resolution:
    • A WC Floors representative will assess the issue on-site.
    • If the problem is covered under the warranty, we will arrange for repairs, refinishing, or replacement as necessary at no additional cost.
